No sex?!

Question

Because of my placenta previa (placenta is too low and close to the cervix) my doctor is suggesting no sex until further notice. I am only 16 weeks. I am a newly wed and miss intimacy with my husband. I hate this. Has anyone gone through it? Did you sneak in sex anyway? She said it will resolve itself. If so, when?

If your doctor said no sex then I wouldn't do it at all. To me it wouldn't be worth risking and possibly losing the baby altogether. It's a small price to pay for an amazing thing.

You dont need penetration, theres other ways to have sex. i wouldnt risk the safety of my baby whatsoever, even if he said no kissing i wouldnt risk it! Xx

Same here. Yes, we snuck in a little sex, but my partner was scared to death he would hurt the baby all the time which made for a not so fun time. Sure enough one of the times I had spotting. It's best to find alternative ways of pleasing each other for a few weeks until the doctor can check you again and see if things have improved. I got the green light from my doctor last week after not having sex for almost two months. But we still found ways to play in the two months without penetration. Remember, you and your baby's health come first. :)

You'd feel guilty if you did it and caused an issue.  Stick to doctors orders and find other means of satisfying each other.  (Oral does the trick!)

I had this exact same thing. Newly married, sick during the first three months than bleeding found out I had placenta previa my midwife gave us the green light for sex six weeks maybe less later because I had no more bleeding. And my placenta had moved by 29 weeks.
