Any advice on pregnancy tests?

Going on 3 days late for period.  4 days before period was due to start I took a first response and got faint positive on 2 tests 2 days in a row.  The cheap $1 dollar store tests is telling me negative.  I don't want to spend a lot in tests.  Any advice girls?

I bought the cheapie wondfo ones so I could take four at a time if I wanted to, no guilt. But when I saw that ghost of a line I grabbed a digital for reassurance.

Honestly, you can make the same mistake I did and spend a fortune on expensive tests, or just take a cheap one when your period is late. It will show up. The 2 week wait is torture, but IF it's a negative, at least you didn't waste money on a pee stick. Let your body/baby produce the hormones before you rush to test. Good luck!

First response will consistently pick up 12.5mlu of HCG, where dollar store won't register until you've hit 25 or 50.  I'd check the package insert and if your dollar store test isn't giving you at least a faint line in two days it may have been a chemical (happened to me my first month ttc)

I would wait a few more days and take another test?
