Should I be upset if my SO doesn't know our 1 yr anniversary date?

Our one year anniversary is coming up and he knows that it's coming up, but I'm not sure that he knows when it is. I know that anniversaries are more important to the females, but it still gets me a little upset.

My fiancé has a horrible memory! It took him almost 2 years to remember my birthday lol and I use to get sooooo upset but then I learnt that his father is the same way. So to avoid arguments and my upset feelings I always remind him a week or so before it's our anniversary, my birthday, his moms or siblings birthdays, ect. I'll say "our anniversary is in a week, I can't believe it"
​Remember, relationships are about compromise & helping each other out! I'm sure he doesn't forget to intentionally hurt you.

I would personally be upset. My husband an I have been together for almost 3 years now an he remembers everything. The day we started dating, the day he proposed, the day we got married, even the day we got our dog. Idk to me it's special when they remember an you don't have to remind them.

He may be joking that he doesn't know. Just wait and see. Don't say anything just see if he remembers aftwr he gets home from work or something. He may get you something after he geta off as men aren't usually planners.

My SO usually doesn't remember or asks me "when did we get married?" But I think he does it to get a rise out of me... Anyway this year I kept saying like a week or so in advance "man, I can't believe we're going to have been married for 6yrs." Then the day of, I FORGOT!!! Now only for a split second or two... Lol  I definitely didn't tell him that!!! He would hold that over my for years to come.

To be honest, I had forgotten my and my SO's anniversary until someone asked when we got together. He answered immediately and I just kind of awkwardly wrote it down. My memory has always been awful, especially with dates, so I'm making am effort to memorize the date and his birthday. If I knew my SO had a memory like mine, I wouldn't be upset. Luckily, he doesn't forget things like I do.

​Granted we were in high school and I was in cross-country and track so I was busy and tired a lot but if the roles had been reveresed I wouldn't be that upset. Upset but nothing major. I'd tease the hell out of him about it though
