Birth control? What do u think?

Question

Birth control seems unnatural and unhealthy.  It stops ur body from doing what it's supposed to do....idk, like it seems unnatural. 
What do u think?

Personally I couldn't have survived without it. My cycle was crazy, I was crazy, it was horrible, and I couldn't function. Admittedly it has taken a while to find a method that is best for me, but I'm glad I have it, my fiancé and I aren't ready for a family, and we want to be intimate, this keeps our goals and desires on the right track for us. As long as you are happy and healthy I don't see why you should not use birth control.

Birth control screwed me up, and I see a lot of women in my practice who's hormones are very off from being on it for so long. It IS unnatural and it's a drug. It puts an extra load on the liver for detoxification. Also, the hormones in birth control interfere with thyroid hormone, which can affect every cell of the body. However, like mentioned above, it is a good tool to prevent pregnancy if you are either irregular or unable to track your cycle properly. Id still strongly suggest using condoms as contraception, since that way you're not ingesting a toxin every day to prevent pregnancy. Generally, irregularity indicates something is up with your hormones and there are more natural ways of dealing with that. So I agree with you, sister- it's unnatural!

I had to start taking birth control when I was 16 years old for ovarian cyst because they kept rupturing and one landed me into the hospital. Doctor said if I let it go on I possibly won't be able to have kids in the future. Honestly yes it's unnatural but heck when it comes for protection and not looking to have a baby than everything you do not to get pregnant is "unnatural". If anybody wants to go unnatural and not have a baby or have any chance of getting pregnant shouldn't have sex.

That's why I don't take it. I don't want to screw with Mother Nature. I use the withdrawl method. I know it's not 100% but it has worked for my husband and I for the past 5 years. However if we were to get pregnant it wouldnt be bad. Just unexpected. I don't recommend it for people who absaloutley don't want children or those not in commited relationships.
