Who else thinks the war on marijuana is overrated and needs to be over?

I am so sick of how people treat people who smoke marijuana. Almost half the country has legalized and I still see people being so harsh on others who smoke. Not to mention that you can make paper and rope and literally do all kinds of things from him. I bet half of people don't even know that the first Ford car ran off of hemp oil or that oil can help fight cancer. Who else it with me?! Legalize it!

I think it needs to be taxed and legalized. It's alcohol that's the real problem. No one dies from smoking too much weed, and me inhaling the second hand smoke will do practically nothing to me. When people drink, it affects everyone. Drinking and driving, alcohol poisoning, liver disease ETC.

Legalize it already. We are spending so much money on keeping people imprisoned mostly for possessions of small amounts of marijuana. We could be using that money for much more. If we legalize marijuana and tax just like tobacco and alcohol we could get at least 1 million in tax per state. Also there are so many benefits to it for medical issues. Marijuana heals!

Okay. First of all. Weed and hemp are not the same thing. They are both cannabis but there is nothing illegal about hemp. Second, it is not legal in "half the country" it's only fully legalised in Washington and Colorado, and even there it is taxted and regulated.

I just took a stab at it, I wasn't sure which question you were really asking... Whether it should be legalized or whether the war on drugs is overrated. I don't even call it a war on drugs, I call it a war on freedom. Who is it hurting to let people smoke if they want to? Who is it hurting if people do drugs? Unless they're selling it they aren't hurting anyone...-and we're causing the selling of it because the government is keeping it illegal. If it were all sanctioned by the government then first of all there would be no incentive to getting it through illegal channels, and less people would even be interested because it wouldn't taboo abymore. But that's just my view.

Unfortunately a couple of the tenants in my building smoke. The ones above me and the ones behind me. I don't like marjuana because it seems to turn people into idiots. Not saying people who smoke are idiots, I'm saying it turns people into idiots

Nothing is wrong with it exactly but it's like cigarettes they are legal but I don't like breathing them in... If you smoke in public it effects my freedoms.. If you smoke at home it effects your children's freedoms..
