?Not ovulating coming of BC - Others stories?

Question

Any ladies out there that haven't ovulated/not had a period for lengthy timeframes after coming off BC? I just want to hear your stories about what you or your doctor did for you to get your cycle working again?

3 months off birth control and I've had one bleed during a Provera cycle, not after. Going to start another Provera cycle, any success stories?

I think you messed your cycle more up by taking provera. Sure it starts a period - but its still a huge dose of hormones again! Give your Body TIME. Be patient while your Body is readjusting his hormones after coming off of BC. Maybe try some tea. Alchemilla could work for you. I wouldn't take provera again. Just wait it out! Some woman need up to a year coming off of BC until her natural hormones works again. Just be patient.

I stopped bc in April. Had 3 normal 31 day cycles. Then a 37 day cycle and now I'm on cd 69 :( I've had blood tests nothing abnormal has came up. Starting vitex tomorrow ! I hope something happens for me soon!

I take provera for PCOS. It's basically estrogen  so your body should respond well to it. I have PCOS so my normal estrogen levels are low. First time on it I got a period 5 days once I finished my dose. Second round on it I got my period on day 5 of taking it. I had no side effects.

​I don't ovulate from my condition so I'm  on clomid. First time it made me a raging mess. That pill was rough making me so moody. This last time i took it wasn't too bad. Can't really tell you what the physical side effects are that you may get cuz I always have insomnia and hot flashes so I didn't feel any different.

I personally stopped taking bc in April but wasn't getting a period so finally I went to see the doctor in july and she told me that it could take 4-6 months so finally I got my period in August but then after that I didn't see another period until today. I have just been drinking tons of water, taking prenatal vitamins still and hoping it regulates soon. It makes ttc for #2 more difficult. I have never taken provera ur that is my experience with coming off the pill. Best wishes to you

Been off pill 7thms cycles still long jus started ovulating well thats what opk said.
