Can I take strepsils while pregnant?

I woke up with a really bad sore throat and cough and I don't know what I can take for it. Im 6 weeks pregnant..

No you can't take strepsils but if you go to boots they will give you a pregnancy friendly cough syrup :)

I have a very sore throat. I went to chemist today and he said no to strepsils, but advised soothers, lockers and hot Ribena drink with spoonful of honey to sooth.

My doctor said the only thing I can do is gurgle with warm salt water they do not want me taking any Otc medicine
