Have you considered traveling for cheaper treatments? If so, where would you go? Any successful trips?

Here in Australia (WA) the clinic we were originally going to the out of pocket expense was $3800 but another clinic has just changed their charges and it will be $1500/round... We plan on doing the travel to go to the other clinic as it means twice as many chances then the one closer to home!

In europe it is about 9000 usd for ivf, three rounds. (norway and denmark)

Hazie - are you in Austin? I've heard about international locations being much less expensive but haven't heard about other states. I've thought about trying to find out which companies in Austin offer ivf coverage and trying to get a job there :-)

Great idea! I have heard other states are cheaper. In Austin, Tx it's about 12-20k wish cash pay. Insurance is a whole different ball game, way more expensive than cash pay. I would gladly travel elsewhere if we could save ??
