I use millimeters.. And for me 8mm is a bit to Long :(

I'm the same, an 8mm bar is too long for me. Have a look out for a 6mm bar, not everywhere sells them but they are the perfect length. I'm from the uk (not sure if you are too or not) but a good website to use is pierced and modified.com  - hope that helps! X
