When my MIL found out we were going to hear the heart beat soon she was so excited and asked us what day it was so she could take the day off and come with me and my boyfriend... My boyfriend and I looked at each other like "is this women serious" lol I don't have the heart to tell her no because she's not my mom but my boyfriend does it for me, he told her that it's our baby, it's my first ultrasound and we just want to do it on our own, she got all sad and I feel bad but it's like she thinks she's going to be coming to every appointment with us and I can't have that lol. Like I don't think I'm being selfish or anything, it's just a mother and father OF THE BABY type of thing I guess. When the baby is born then of course everyone can come. But the appointments and what not, shouldnt that be me and my boyfriends thing? Oh and this isn't her first grandchild, she just had her first 6 months ago so it's not like this is a new thing to her lol
