Birth control?

I want to start birth control, but I'm scared to ask my mom... The reason I wanna start is safety reasons, and help my mood on my period 
What do you think I should say?

If you let her know you wanna be on the pill to regulate your cycle and help your mood,I'm sure she will understand. You can throw in that you wanna be safe and if anything ever happens you wanna be prepared for it( I don't know how open you are about sex with her) but health concerns and responsibility are good things to have. If you have a good relationship with her, there shouldn't be a reason to hide it.

I think now days you can go to a clinic without your parents and they help you out with birth control
