IUD opinions

What are everyone's opinions about IUDs ? I have the skyla the babysister of the Mirana . It is 3yrs instead of 5yrs and for girls that havnt had children . I will be 19 in February . I got it put in June of 2013 so I was 17 . I had the worst experience with it when I first got it put in . It took over 7 mths until my body got used to it . Everything that happened made me end up in the hospital a few times . I had 4 ultrasounds done to make sure it wasn't attaching itself and to make sure it hadn't moved . It was extremely scary but with my mom and boyfriend wanting me on birth control I tried it. I tried 3 different pills and had really bad migraines with all of them . I don't want the one in my arm & don't want the shot . I don't trust the nuva ring, I know too many people that got pregnant with that . What do you think ? I kinda want to get it taken out, I don't like condoms and plus allergic to latex . Non latex ones dry out super fast and hate lube . My boyfriend travels for his job so we don't even have sex a lot & we have a big age gap . He doesn't want kids until I am ready & I'm currently in college . I've raised 2 of my cousins and have been around children all my life . We are both financially stable . We have been together for 2 years and have known eachother for a total of 7yrs .
