Why do so many women criticize each other instead of complementing one another?

I believe instead of criticizing other women, we should take the time to uplift, compliment and share information with each other. I believe if we started doing that we would help each other in so many ways. I mean I don't see how some can see themselves better then others, because no one is perfect and what I may be good in you may not be and vice versa, so why not take the time and share up lift and motivate others and so on.

Our society teaches girls from a young age that they are in competition with one another. We are taught to compare ourselves to the women around us and that breeds jealousy and insecurity. If girls were taught that they didn't need to compete with their friends, that they were smart and pretty and offered their special strengths and so did every other woman we would interact differently with each other

I personally enjoy other women's' beauty. I really do. I think we are way sexier than men and I'm not childish enough to believe that your beauty makes me less than in any way.

Its because women are so annoying. I am a woman. One minute they are your friend the next their offended about something. Guy friends are great! I think its partially hormones. But seriously if someone wastes time being jealous of me or you I won't be friends with them.

I think the surroundings of your upbringing have a lot to play with that. My husband's friend brought up how woman are insecure and in competition with one another and I got extremely defensive over it. Beauty is on the inside of everyone and the exterior is just that, an exterior. I can say a woman is beautiful and not have to feel threatened by her, she is beautiful in her own form. I can say a woman is more knowledgable than me in some category and I respect that, I'm not going to argue it over my own ignorance and jealousy, but I will argue what I do know. Insecurities tear us apart when really we all have them somewhere, and what we need most is to build each other up. And for the overly confident ones, let them lead by example. You don't see men hating on another guy because he's more handsome or witty. Let's us voice them, but love and respect our differences on every level.
