Bicornuate Uterus
I was told by some idiot doctor recently that I have a "valentine" in me (I was not preggers at this point). My mouth proceeded to drop to the floor thinking he was finding a cute way to tell me that my eggo is prego. He showed me my ultrasound image and I did, in fact, have a very clear heart shape to my uterus. He didn't expound on this at all and brushed it off like it's no big deal. A curious researcher by nature, I went home and started researching it. I thought if it was important enough for him to mention, it must have some meaning. It didn't occur to me to ask any questions when I was there. I found out it's a bicornuate uterus. I went to get another opinion and found an AWESOME doctor who doesn't skirt around issues. He told me all my research and findings were completely accurate and I may have complications in the future. I scheduled a surgery with my doctor to diagnose if it's a septate or bicornuate uterus. He told me a septate is an easy fix and a true bicornuate is not mendable. The night before my pre-op, I found out I'm pregnant and cancelled the operation. Does anyone else on here have an abnormal uterus and have you carried a baby to term? I hate worrying about having a miscarriage :-(.
