Do you think you HAVE to or SHOUlD take your S/O last name upon marriage?

Some people don't agree with me because I don't really want to take his last name. I like my name.

It's definitely up to you, love. Just make sure to talk to him about your decision. I don't wanna change my last name when I get married, but yeah, be sure that for whoever you're with, the whole not-taking-his-last-name thing isn't a deal breaker. =P

I've been married almost two years now and I keep intending to take my wife's last name, but I just never find the time. She doesn't mind too much. I'll for sure be changing it though when I'm pregnant. I really want us all to have the same last name to protect our family if there's any changes in the government that could ruin our lives.

Yeas!! Lol I would Love to be called "Mrs. Perez" ??? idk to me taking his last name is ur choice but it kinda makes the marriage more meaningful just the fact ur a part of him now. Also being his "Mrs...." wouldn't it just give u a good feeling to be called the same name of the love of ur life? Plus u don't have to completely change ur last u can keep both ur maiden name & his name ? just the fact u get to share the same last name & everything else. I can't help it. I took my husband's last name bc I wanted the same name as my kids. It's totally up to you. He didn't care either way. It certainly isn't necessary. It's a big pain to change it.
