Favorite form of birth control?

I'm wondering if anyone has insight they would be willing to share regarding their experiences with different types of birth control.  I'm 21 years old, in a commited monogamous relationship with my boyfriend of two years, and we are both disease-free.

I was on the pill for a few months about a year ago and didn't really like it; it threw my cycle way out of whack (was on it for about four months and must have been bleeding 40% of the time) and also experienced fainting and headache, so I'm not really looking to go back down that road.  If anyone has any other advice I would appreciate it!

I've been on depo shot hated it. I liked my nuvaring. But I like doing FAM with condoms.

I've used condoms, several different pills, Depot Provera and Depot Lupron as well as the Mirena IUD. I LOVED the Mirena the first time I had one inserted. It lasted only 4 years instead of the advertised 5 but no pregnancy, periods, or other ill effects and it helped my endometrio and Polycystic ovaries. Then my original doctor shifted her focus and I had a new doctor replace the original. She did a horrible job. Placed it incorrectly, caused me loads of pain, and it ended up getting embedded.

I'd get another one but I'd definitely use a doctor that will use a surgical center for sedation so that its properly placed and as little pain as possible.

Read Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni weshcler. You will be able to use FAM, LEARN EARLY WHICH 3RD or so of your cycle you are fertile and decide which barrier method you want to ise. No added hormones, no shot, no foreign objects in arm or utuerus with risk to causing problems

This method is 98% if the rules are followed. I just started. I am on my 2nd cycle off of birth control and I love not being on anything.

We are still experimenting with barrier methods, my SO is kind of stubborn,  so during my fertile time, it could be anything from condoms, to diaphragm, to pull out and spermicide (eh ice I would not recommend the pullout to just anyone) we r just pretty much of with the small risk
