Gender guess?!

Question

I want to have at least a guess of the gender by Christmas my 12 week ultrasound is on the 25th and im wondering if anyone ever asked the U.S. Tech to check in between the legs?! If they were rude I know it depends on the person but I was wondering if anyone got anything out of it or if I shouldn't bother and wait until they know for sure later just excited :)

I asked my sonographer if she could tell me the sex of my baby at my 12 week scan and she just said impossible!

My friend had a 3d ultrasound at 13 weeks and found out the sex

They can look but won't see anything. I think the earliest I've ever heard was 14 weeks. Someone told me that there is a blood test now that will tell you the gender. Not sure if that's true tho.

But some doctors only use the test for people with issues or over 35- otherwise insurance might not cover it and it can't be pricey according to my dr.
