Look into it! If you've had experience, they'll likely hire you quickly and they pay better than nursing homes and home health aide places. Plus you learn so much, meet so many cool and interesting people, and you can usually do things you're not allowed to as a CNA. At the hospital, we are ok to draw labs and do glucose monitoring, and some nurses let you do even more stuff.... dressing changes and assist with procedures. It's really cool.

If I hadn't injured myself, I'd be dying to get back to it. I tried to reposition a 450 lb patient with just one person who didn't help and herniated a couple discs in my lumbar spine. ?

I am! Well, nursing tech at a hospital. We do blood draws and stuff in addition to CNA duties.

Probably not for much longer. Been out of work since end of April with a bad back injury on the job. Looking for something less physically demanding. ? Maybe I'll put my biology degree to use, though!
