Is everyone buying a crib?

My sister in law said they didn't have a crib for their second baby because that was a waste, they only used the pack n play . Does anyone have experience with that? Are you buying a crib?

I put my kids in the crib the day they came home from the hospital and I used the crib for at least 18 months for both of them. I think it's definitely worth it.

I'm most definitely buying a second crib. My daughter is only 14 months now and there is no way she will be ready to be in a bed by July. We had her in it at 4 weeks, she preferred it to the bassinet as she was on the long side. I'm planning on having 3 babies, God willing, so they'll get use at one time or another!

I always use a sleeper of some sort in my own room for the first few months. It just makes it much easier to get up with the baby at night. After a while, I transition them to the crib in a separate room. I wouldn't say a crib is a waste, but I definitely don't use it at first.

I think the crib that converts into a toddler then twin bed would be great for us.

I bought a crib, but will use a cradle in our room until I'm comfortable enough to let him sleep on his own in his own room. I have a pack n play for down stairs when I am in the living room for him to sleep. Also will be trying the mamaroo.

My bf is making me a co-sleeper :) and I have heard from a lot of moms that they rarely used the crib so I'm also getting a bassinet from my mom but since this is my first baby I still want to get a crib and experience it for myself cause I've learned sometimes when you just do what other people tell you that they did it doesn't always turn out to be the best for yourself

I bought the 3in1 crib. I have always used it. I think the pack n plays are to hard. Sure they are nice if we stay somewhere, but my daughter has always loved her crib.

I wish I hadn't bought a crib. My first never once slept in it. Maybe my second will.

My SIL bought a super expensive crib. Her son has never slept in it and he's almost nine months. He sleeps in a pack in play in her room. So really it was a waste! Now with my first, my son never slept anywhere but his crib unless we were traveling then he slept in pack n play.

I'm going to use the same crib I had for my first son. I tried letting him sleep in the pack and play one night but he's so bunched up. He's only 1 and can't fit in it so I wouldn't do that.
