Clothe diapers?!

Question

So my husband and I are looking into using clothe diapers. I've pinned a million things on Pinterest and I know it will be completely different when we have a child and actually have to do it but what do you guys think? Yay or nay?! I am not super crazy about organic things but I feel like I want the most natural things for a baby.

I have a 14 month old and we have exclusively cloth diapered her since the day she was born. It is easy it's not a big deal and it's not that much extra wash. Go on green mountain diaper. Com there is a lot of great info on diapering and prepping of diapers. Also look up cloth diapering on YouTube lots of cloth diaper mommas have posted their routine and their recommendations. It's worth it for your baby, and keeps the disposables out of the dump.

We do it and once you get started it's not that complicated at all! Personally I love to use one size fits all covers with inserts. But I know there are lots of different styles and options to choose from. What really helped me figure out what would work best for us was visiting a local store that sold different types of oloth diapers.

We used cloth until my second lo was 3 mo old. Two in diapers became too much for me, but I loved it before then. I will tell you though, you change so much more with cloth. And if you spend more than a few dollars per diaper (think Alva brand or Sunbaby) you won't save as much as it seems. I loved it and can't wait to do it again!

It's not only less chemicals on your baby, but way cheaper too. I love cloth diapering. My 1st son is 14 months and I have several different kinds, pockets, AIO, flips, prefolds, fitteds, flats, covers, etc. and snappis. Folding flats and using snappis is more of a pain than it first seemed I think. You don't have to fold prefolds on any fancy way, I trifold them and it works great. I don't mind snap closures, but my husband basically requires Velcro and either pockets or AIOs. If you are going to try it, definitely involve your partner in the selection process and I don't recommend choosing one kind and buying only that one kind. I think it's better to try some different options and know what you prefer before commiting to a stash with only one kind of diaper.  Some people disagree, but that's my opinion. YouTube videos are a great resource.
