Glucose test!? ?

I'm only 22 weeks so I go back to the doctor December 30th for my glucose test. What is it like!? Will I get sick?

I chose the lemon- lime flavor and it wasn't bad at all. Not even as sweet tasting as a sprite. About 15-20 minutes after, I definitely felt a sugar high. About 15-20 minutes after that I felt a crash and felt tired. I just heard that I passed this morning :)

I have bad sickness and am on medication for it . The day of glucose test I couldn't take medication or et anything from night before so you can imagine I was dreading throwing up before the test had started! 
​It wasn't too bad and I wasn't sick , I had the 460ml of lucozade which is a lot ! In one go . If you get the choice have what they give you as it's a lot less to drink!

It affects each person differently! When I did it last year, I drank it in the lab and then was sent to see my doctor since I had an apointment. While I was wainting for the doctor in the room, everything around me started spinning and I completley lost control and almost fainted! My doctor said that some people react like that to the drink and that it was normal and a good sign! Good luck :)

For me I didn't get a flavor choice, they just gave me the Orange. The best way I can describe the taste is super sugary flat orange soda. It wasn't as terrible as it was made out to be. However, I got crazy nauseous with a headache and some disiness. Water did help some though! Good luck with yours!

Went in for my routine dr visit today. Dr asked if I wanted to do the Glucose test since I'm 25 weeks so that I wouldn't need to come in again.

The drink they offered me came in two flavors: Orange & fruit punch. I asked the girl which flavor is most preferred since I've read everywhere online how bad it was so I was expecting the worst. She handed me the cold fruit punch beverage. I downed it in probably in less than a minute. It actually didn't taste bad I actually liked it. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for an hour to pass so that the doctor can draw my blood & be on my way.

Depends where you are I suppose, I'm in Scotland and in 2012. I was given a bottle of lucozade orange and made to wait for an hour so it gets into my system, wasn't sick or anything.

With my first pregnancy all they had was orange flavor (I'm in the US) and it tasted like really sweet orange soda. Didn't make me sick but I did drink it quickly. Good luck!

Just did it. I hated it. Don't like things that taste like medicine. I drank it sitting next to the toilet. But in the end, not that bad. Just hold your nose :)

I'm scheduled to do it on December 1st! I'm dreading it because I've heard it's nasty and makes some women sick. But I'll be sure to let you know how it goes lol

They give you a thing to drink before your next appointment, it's not bad but mine gave me horrible heart burn, and your not suppose to eat or drink anything els till after the test.. It's really no biggy, the stuff is even flavored, so it doesn't taste bad.
