The condom broke. I'm 5 days late. I took a pregnancy test the same night the condom broke and it said negative but still, is there a chance I'm pregnant and the egg just hadn't implanted yet?

Home pregnancy tests are based on your hormones, the day of conception your body is producing very little as gestation begins, your body produces more and more. By the time you've missed your period, it would be about 2 weeks after conception. By that point, you're producing enough for the test to read your levels.

So, taking a HPT the night you have unprotected sex is useless. Take another test now that you're late and it'll give you a more accurate answer.

Well, I think you should wait a little longer to take the test. Instead of immediately after the incident, because I dont rhink it would have accurate results.

You should re test. It doesn't show up until your period is due. Testing the night that it happened wouldn't show you anything. If it happened around your ovulation time and your now 5 days late there's a good chance you are pregnant.
