When do you tell & when?

Question

When do you tell people you're pregnant? Do you wait until week 12 at the end of your first trimester before you tell anyone? Do you only tell family at first when you first find out? Or do you tell everyone due to excitement?

Well mine is a mixed answer. I wanted to wait to tell everyone prior to BFP. When I got it, I couldn't help telling my closest friends. My DH on the other hand, was so excited he was telling strangers. His family and some of mine knows, but I'm waiting to tell everyone I know and work until there's less risk.

Only me and SO know at the moment. We will tell parents and siblings at Xmas (when I will be 8/9 weeks) and then everyone else after first scan. Finding it so hard to keep it quiet!

I told my closest friends and family because I was so excited when I first got my bfp and I ended up having a chemical pregnancy!:( it was awful! Now I'm 5 weeks and my mom and my sisters know it because I couldn't help but ask for prayers and words of encouragement. My husband haven't told anyone yet. We will wait for the first trimester to end. Praying!

I am telling my husband on Christmas morning. I will be 12 weeks on the 30th of January. My Momma passed away 4 years ago on the 3rd of February so I'm going to creatively tell my dad first, that day followed by the other 10 of my siblings. :)))

We plan on telling our families at Christmas and then our friends. I will be 7-8 weeks. We will then tell everyone else since I work at a hospital and will have to tell my coworkers so that I am not assigned certain patients.

I hate keeping it a secret, but I want to do a cute announcement. I find myself wanting to talk about it casually in conversation then realize I havnt told them... Ops

Due to me having a premi that passed and a miscarriage early this year, I am going to wait until after my first trimester to tell anyone. I'm too nervous (after all my family is baby fanatics. I literally had all my sons stuff at 5 months and didn't need a baby shower because everyone got so excited)
