Always hoping for that ring on my finger

Every holiday or special occasion I secretly hope to get that ring on my finger. I always know not to get my hopes up because I know it most likely won't happen. But this Christmas for some reason I'm REALLLYY hoping I get it. But again I still know I most likely won't! My boyfriend has expressed that it wouldn't be for a while. The only thing that has changed is that he has a really good paying job now, when he didn't before and that's what's getting my hopes up. But I still keep telling myself it won't happen! But of course like I said am secretly wishing.
