My husband and I have always wanted to have children. Now that we're both 25 (been together for almost 8 years), I'm ready to start. However, he's not ready. For the last 6 months he's said we'll start trying in the next year. What would you do?

If he said next year, and it's only been six months, keep waiting. Do not nag him about the situation. Having a baby before he's ready just because you talked him into it could cause several problems, some being resentment toward you and jealousy toward the baby from you spending all your time with him/her instead of your man.
My dad was 30 and my mom was 26 when they had me, but they had been together for almost 10 years (married for one) before they started trying. 
Keep enjoying your life as a couple because having a child WILL change things, both negatively and positively. Good luck. ?

Even though in my heart I feel ready, you're never really ready. If his heart isn't ready, wait the year. Talk to him about it but be on the same page.

I'm in the same situation as you. My husband and I are in our 20s (23/24) and we've been together for almost 6 years. I've been "ready" for a baby for a year and half and he just wants to wait. First he wanted to wait till we moved back to Az (our home state) and then it was until after we're married and now it's wait until I'm done with school (he has 5 months till he graduates)

I would just find out if he's afraid or if there's something else there, try and figure it out together. I mean I believe that you'll never be fully ready to have a baby (financially speaking)

Ask him if he's afraid and if he tells u that u all are financially stable tell him u never will be with a child bc they are always a lot of money no matter how much make. Maybe that's why he keeps telling u that. My husband did the same thing til I told him that we will never be financially stable to have a child and he agreed to it and here we are with a 2 1/2 yr old daughter.. Gl chickie
