Would you choose to find out the gender at the first trimester screening??

My doctor gave us the option of finding out the gender at our next appointment (I'll be 12 weeks) via a blood test. My DH wants to find out from an ultrasound. I just don't want to hear any of the other stuff they might tell us because I'm keeping my baby no matter what. Is it worth it to wait??

Can you tell your doctor you want the blood test done but only want the result of the gender??

Do you have issues that run in your family? If not, then it's just a routine test and you'll be fine.

I'm doing same thing but will be finding out at 12 weeks! I think the better the early. So you can start shopping so you wouldn't have to worry about it later :) good luck!

I was given the same option. I go for the genetic testing in the 29th. I will be a little over 11 weeks and they can tell me the gender too. I was shocked I could know that early. My husband and I will let the doctor tell us then.
