What are people's thoughts on trying to have a baby young??

Go to your local church and offer to help in their nursery every weekend. When you can handle doing that ALL Service for several months then offer to babysit overnight for these newfound friends children. After a few nights of baby screams ask yourself if you really want to punish yourself with 18 years of that before you even have a chance to enjoy living your life how YOU want to live it, doing only what YOU want to do. Bc once that baby comes into the picture it's not your life anymore. Your that baby's mom and no one cares what you want anymore, only taking care of that child matters. Children are cute and great. But it's tough even for two adults with a great relationship to properly take care of a child. Just be aware of how much more difficult it will be for a young person who statistically is going to be doing it alone. Please be careful this decision will effect you & everyone around in ways you can't imagine yet.

I beg to differ... I was 18 when I got pregnant and now 19 I'm due in 2 weeks. I've been with my boyfriend for over a year our baby is 100% planed! We have our own house he has a great job and can't wait to start a family. Not all teens aren't mature enough! Just because there is some out there that can't handle raising a baby doesn't mean we all can't! I hate when people put down all teen parents or moms saying they aren't mature enough and such it's everyone's own choice to be a parent if you feel ready go a head and have a baby just know it's going to be hard but you know what life is hard!

I'm 17, 18 in 2 days and PLEASE do not try to have a child young. I'm currently pregnant with my first baby and of course it's a blessing but my life will forever be altered. I'm not going to get to live my younger years as other girls my age do. Hold off until you are financially, mentally, and physically capable of caring for a baby.

Sigh. I've said it before and I will say it again. The only people who think teenagers are mature enough and experienced enough to raise children are teenagers.

There's a reason adults write books, TV shows, and movies about their teen years: perspective and wisdom. Teens don't have it, plain and simple.

My parents weren't trying to be teen parents. They ended up that way though. Mom was 16 almost 17 when she had me, dad was 17, turned 18 two days before I was born. He says "There Goes My Life" is the perfect song. Even now that I'm 25, he still listens to it. He's got two more kids by my mother (one is 24 and the other is 14), he eventually added my sister with another lady, she's a little over a year old now. He's 43. He still says I'm his favorite child because I changed his life in so many wonderful ways. Even though it scared the hell out of him at first. He's pretty much my best friend.

I'm a teen mother. 😌 I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. In no way am I promoting it, but if it happens, it's not the end of the world by any means. I don't see why people shame it so much when they haven't been through it.
