Does anyone take folic acid along with a prenatal?

I've heard of this before. Is it necessary? Isn't there enough folic acid in the prenatal already?

I do but something with mtfhr doesn't allow me to keep enough folic acid

I wouldn't over due it on folic acid. Folate is the natural form and that's the one that's more important to get regularly.

I just take a prenatal that already contains folic acid!!

I'm an epileptic so my neurologist prescribed them to me to take with my prenatal pills.

I take whole food prenatal and fish oil everyday. Great for you and baby!

I'm taking prenatal vitamins every night and regular multi vitamins that also contain folic acid every other night. In between I take fish oil. I'm only 4w4days so I hope this is ok. Will only see my doctor next week as they are closed for the holidays.

I'm taking it but it was prescribed by my neurologist due to my epilepsy. I was on it with baby #1 as well.

I take it too. Have to take it untill 16 weeks of pregnancy according to my doctor .
