Dental work?

I had I root canal about 3 years ago and they had put a cap over it.. Well today my cap had broke off causing my filling to fall out. I'm 5 almost 6 months pregnant is it safe to go to the dentist and have this fixed? Without putting the baby in any danger?

You can have dental work and X-rays after your first trimester. I had to and both my midwife and dentist said it was safe. My baby is perfectly healthy.

I went in for my routine dental work two weeks ago. Dentist told me that if I needed anything major that they'd postpone it until after baby's arrival just for safety precautions. Also they didn't do x-Rays at my current visit because they didn't want to put me & my unborn child at risk even though my dr stated in the letter that if X-rays were needed that they should use a double shield to minimize the radiation.

Yes, my doctor printed off a "dentist note" that had safe numbing agents and pain medication for me to take. I would check to see if your office has the same thing!

I don't think so as long as they don't do any x rays. Give your dentist a call and take from there
