Any good ways to get rid of smells?

Anyone know any good ways to get rid of nasty food smells in your house? Every time my DH cooks it makes me gag. He's a really good cook, but he mixes a bunch of seasonings and it's killing me. Then the smell lingers for days!

Air the house and spray a bit of anti-bac spray. Glen20 is what we use here in Australia- it's brilliant.

Set open containers (like coffee mugs or plastic storage bowls) half full of white vinegar around the house/kitchen. Worked to absorb skunk smell in my house after pups got nosy outside
