Mucinex for fertility???!

What was that ingredient in mucinex that helps while ttc?

I got prescribed 20mg Guaifenesin for a upper respiratory infection and was wondering if that was the ingredient??
If it is, when are you supposed to take it to help with ttc??

I'm taking mucinex this cycle and that is the active ingredient, I took it five days before I ovulated and two days after I am done ovulating.

My OBGYN told me to take a teaspoon of rubitussion every day. She said jus as it helps with mucus in nostrils it helps mucus in cervix to allow a more ideal enviornment for sperm.

Awesome! I think I'll just take 1 a day until my fertile week, the 2 a day through my fertile week, I suppose it won't hurt anything to try haha!
