I really enjoy reading them because I'm very nervous to give birth.

Don't be nervous or scared. Giving birth is one of the most natural things we do! Our bodies were designed for it and honestly, I find that empowering! It's painful, yes, but men can't do it and at the end, you not only find just how strong you are (no matter how your baby arrives–drug free, epi, assisted, c section, etc.), but you have an incredibly beautiful, perfect and pure baby. YOU carried this baby for 9 months, YOU endures the pains of labor, YOU birthed the baby. The bond you feel with your child is indescribable. I had a wonderful labor and delivery, and an easy recovery (my story is posted as My Birth Story) and I honestly can't wait to welcome our second son into the world soon! Congrats on your pregnancy and I'm praying for a safe and healthy baby and momma during labor and delivery! :)

Grab a copy of Ina Mays Guide to Childbirth, in the current edition about a third of the book is really inspiring birth stories. It's really helped me to feel comfortable with it.

Don't be nervous. Or realise it is just one day. Best advice I got to accept the labour will happen and you will get a baby at the end of it. I went 8 days over, was induced, laboured for 23 hours and my daughter arrived with forceps. I don't think of it badly.

Search "offbeat families" on Google... There's a trio of sites, including offbeat home and offbeat brides. There are a lot of birth stories that have helped calm me.

With my daughter I was in labor for 14 hours 12 of which I did all natural. Being nervous is normal but just remember that something beautiful will come out of it. The pain I felt was soon short lived once I held her in my arms. I'm currently pregnant with my second and labor is still something I'm worried about because every child is different. Just keep telling yourself that it's all worth it. Not to be compare apples and oranges but if your a tattoo fan look at how much pain your in when u get one. But once it's done it's so beautiful to look at.

My birth stories are horrific lol so I'm sure u don't want me to go into detail.   But long story short, with my Vbac, I had a 4th degree tear and I will not ever give birth that way again. C section it is for me.

It's not as bad as it seems. No joke you will forget all about the pain so fast.
