Cosmetology school anyone?

This weekend I will be looking at a school close by my house to do hair. I know how to do hair and I'm excited to learn more also to learn how to do make up and etc. Is there anybody here that has went threw this? Can you tell me how was school and how are things now that you graduated? Thanks ❤

I went to marinelo's schools of beauty a year ago and it was so much fun ! You learn so much it's crazy plus you get to meet new people with the same passion as urs! But studying and preparing for state board is really hard ! You have to dedicate in time and effort into studying ! It's hard work but in the end when ur signing you're name into you're license, the feeling is amazing !!

I went to Empire and hated it :( it was so unprofessional and ratchet/ghetto! Girls taking weaves out and putting them in...IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS! And I had a bunch of stolen goods and they did nothing to fix it. Wish I would've chose another school

I went to Paul Mitchell and the learning leaders were AMAZING! So helpful and every tuesday we had a guest artist share what their specialty was and all the girls were so nice and everyone was family there. I wish I didnt quit though. The financial aid was killing me!!

I attended a cosmetology class in high school and after I graduated but I went for a nail tech program. The school I went to there was A LOT of self learning. The teacher may sit you down randomly and show you one thing and then it was up to you to practice and perfect it on your own time. But you may be attending a much better school than I did. As a nail technician I don't make a lot of money in the winter and I get abused frequently by jobs but since you'll be doing hair it's a completely different world. You'll be a lot more happy in your job and even make more money than I would. People can't go without getting their haircut but they can go without getting their nails professionally done.
