Should i let her?

My daughter is four and has never had a hair cut! I've had it trim but no more than that.. It lays in beautiful curls and she wants to cut it.. But I feel little girls should have long hair.. What would you do?? Here's some pics so you can see her beautiful hair!

Yes! Let her be herself, also, long hair is work.

Let her cut it if that's what she wants! I had hair just like her when I was little but now I'm 15 I straighten it everytime I wash it, when I was seven I had it cut to my jaw line and with just little trims since then (straightened) it reaches my butt! No regrets :) x

I was always jealous of all the little girls with long hair!  
I was one of the girls who cut her hair short (twice!) and hated and regretted it!
But maybe it's better for her to figure that out when she's little.

She'll will look adorable no matter what though.. She's perfect!  And there's a good message in letting her have power over herself and not valuing hair toooo much.

I'm a stylist at a kids salon and just to tell you her hair will change throughout her life but cutting the ends won't change the way it grows out her scalp now but if it is just baby curls they won't grow back so if it's straight near her scalp it probably will grow out straight but if it's curly near the scalp it will grow back curly I let my 3 and 6 year olds cut their hair to they're shoulders and I actually prefer it it's so much easier one of them has thick straight hair and the other has thin curly hair if you don't like it good thing is it always grows back :-)

Maybe compromise with a trim? My 3yo has long curly hair too and hasn't had it cut yet so I understand the dilemma! Curly hair can actually be a bit more manageable when it's longer as the weight of the hair pulls the curl down a bit. Plus you can tie it up, plait etc to avoid knots.

It might not be as curly as it is now, but hair will always grow back! My sisters her was long and curly she cut it and now it's dead straight.

my daughter had a full head of tight curls after her hair was cut for the first time they never came back same with my son!
