Anyone else feel completely calm when they think about labour?

I'm a first time mom and although I have no idea what to expect, the thought of labour doesn't scare me.I  actually feel pretty calm. I've seen so many women on here say that the thought of labour terrifies them, but I can't seem to relate. Does anyone else feel this way?

I was the same with #1! I think it's ridiculous to be afraid of something that is clearly so different for each woman - everybody handles pain, emotions, etc differently - and I always thought it was a disservice to other women to try to scare them about labour. Whatever will be will be. The kid is coming out one way or another!

I wouldn't say I'm calm about it but I'm more worried/nervous about postpartum!!

I'm nervous as all get-out! I have no pain tolerance and also don't want a million hour labor. Meh.

Yes. I plan to do hypnobirthing and have a doula so that may be why I'm calm about it.

I would have to agree! It's my first time too and I'm very calm thinking about birth... People look at me a little crazy when I say I'm not scared. I'm excited more than anything!

Funny thing is my friend an I were talking about this last night. This is my first an she's like aren't you scared to be in labour for days an all the pain, this an that. Honestly all I'd be thinking about during the pain is it's almost over an my son will be here. She thinks I'm crazy because I don't want to use any medication, I plan on using the tub to ease the pain. I'm honestly excited about it. I'm only nervous if any complications happen

I'm with you. I have 2 close friends are also preg and I can't relate with them when they're freaking out about labor. They freak and tell me to shit up of I bring it up. I'm glad that I'll be going first, well I hope that's the case as I'm due 6 weeks before 1 friend 4-5 months before the other.

My aim is for a natural water birth. He's currently head down thank goodness! My only fear isn't labour itself, it was if he didn't turn head down, and ending up having to have a c-section. (Not cause i'm scared of the actual c-section, but coz I want to do it myself naturally). If that makes sense. I'm excited for labour!! 9 more weeks!

No, lol I'm nervous! Not about the pain, just not being able to physically get him out myself, safely. I have convinced myself I'm having a big baby and I'm so scared I'll get him down far enough, then not be able to do anymore and them have to use forcepts! That's my fear, c section is fine with me! 🙈🙊🙉

With my first I was the same not scared at all and excited really.

This time I'm still excited but I'm a bit more...erm...not scared but erm...I dunno what word to use sorry.
