Ask for a C-Section?

Is anyone else going to ask for a c-section? I had my daughter naturally but she got stuck in my hips and tore me really bad. The look on the doctor's face when he said "she's stuck; I'm gonna need some help!" freaked me out for life lol. They threatened to use forceps but I just kept pushing. My daughter was just under 9lbs and (if my feeling is right) if this IS a boy I'm terrified to have him naturally!

Have you thought of using a midwife? They can really help with reducing the trauma of birth.

I've had two friends that've had planned c sections, not an emergency and they both said it was really fine. They were up and about after two days, and recovered fairly well to do most things within a week. But friends who've had emergency c sections mention it being far worse. I think wanting something else, the trauma of a natural birth that didn't go to plan and having different expectations of the after birth make a huge difference to whether you'd report it positively?

No matter what you choose, I'd say you should for sure explain carefully how you felt about your previous birth experience with your doctor. Your doctor, especially if you have a good relationship with her/him, will then be able to help you minimize the trauma, fears, and concerns you have, no matter what.

Id like to ask for a c section this time I have had three natural births however my 1st and 3rd i haemoraged and it scared the life out of me the amount of blood splattering out of me im hoping they will let me have a sectio. This time round xxx

If we get to 30 weeks and the baby is as big as my son, I'm scheduling a c section. I had to be induced with him and that to me was a pain worse than labor. I'm not a believer in looking for other options like a midwife, I've seen them do questionable things. There is no no no problem in opting for anything other than a natural birth, we are amazing any way you look at it

Where I'm from my understanding is unless there is a medical reason ( that your doctor supports) c-sections are not encouraged. 
I had an emergency one so i will have to weigh the risks for each ( vbac or c-section)

Baby #1 was natural, Babies #2 (twins) c-cection and pregnancy #3 natural. In my personal opinion NO c-cection for me, I had a hard time and I'm praying for another natural on August, with 4 busy boys running around already I can't.

My daughter (1st baby) was stuck for 2.5 hrs and forceps were almost used but a nurse stepped up and pushed at the top of my tummy as i pushed and she came out but tore me from hole to hole.  Every nurse that came in at the top of shift change who had to check my area had mortified look on face with comments like "oh poor baby this is really bad". 
Baby 2 was 10lbs at 36weeks and doc decided to induce.  He came so easy and recovery was quick.  3rd baby wasnt as easy but wasnt difficult either.  My sis had c-sec and her recovery was HARD and i felt so bad for her.  I dont think i would choose that method if had the option.

Were you induced with your first? Also, did you have an epidural?
Both of those things can lead to tearing because the baby is coming faster than your body had planned AND it's a double whammy if you can't feel anything and are pushing. Not to say you can't tear with a natural birth but definitely do your research. A c-section should be saved for emergency only because of the risks and effects it has on mom and baby.

I had a c-section with my son because he was late, 10lbs, and I was only dilated 2cm for over a month. I recovered pretty quick and even left the hospital a day early. With this pregnancy I have the choice and I don't know. I'm so afraid to have a vaginal birth but hubby doesn't want me to have major surgery again.
