Get induced or wait?

Due to medical problems I have the option to get induced this weekend or wait until 41 weeks. I'm currently 39w4d. Doctor is leaning towards doing it sooner rather than later. Just would like some advice. I'm a ftm. Please do not bash me! Thank you

I said wait but that being said if your medical issue demands it induction is the way to go. But being induced can increase your possibility of a c section

A week of extra cooking time can do wonders for your LO. If it is safe, I would absolutely wait.

I'm waiting. Why screw with nature if you don't have to? 42 weeks is max full term.

I was induced at 39 weeks because i wanted to be. My labor was long but no complication. And Baby girl came out completely healthy no issues. So if you are ready i say you should go for it!

What kind of medical problems? It really depends on those reasons. Talk to your doctor and ask if it's a possibility to wait. Don't be running to the Internet asking for advice against your doctor. You need to be asking actual medical professionals.

If it's for medical reasons and doc is pushing for it then do it. It's probably what is best for both of you. If it's "just because" and you think you can wait... Then wait :)
