What's the hardest part of IVF?

What do you wish you knew? What helps you get through it? What's the most painful thing? If you got a bfp...do you have any feelings about why, or what helped make it successful? Going through IVF now! Almost done stimming. Learning a lot and hoping for the best. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Weight gain! I gained 10 lbs in 10 days. It didn't dissipate. Had to lose it like regular weight. The doctor said it was "normal" to gain up to 50 lbs in 10 days! At 51 lbs, they hospitalize you.

Hardest part is knowing you just have 15-20% of a positive result each time and trying not to hope too much in order not to get too stressed

We did IVF - and got pregnant! IVF helped us with unexplained infertility because we had poor embryo progression. Never would have known. Now we are already thinking about baby 2 and maybe freezing eggs since they will just get worse in a few years. So I liked getting answers. Good luck!
