When should I test?

Caitlin • TTC#1. I had a stroke when I was 13 months old so I am paralyzed from the waist down but I do have feeling everywhere. I`m also wheelchair bound. I`m in an awesome relationship
When should I do an ovulation and pregnancy test? Also what do the hearts and check marks mean?
