When to start buying diapers

I'll be 20 weeks on Tuesday and just realized we haven't started stocking up on ANYTHING yet! When do you normally start to stock up and how much should we get?? Thanks :)

I bought some every time I had an appointment and started early, you can never have too many an most stores will let you exchange a box/bag for a different size if it ends up being the wrong size. Don't stock up on too much newborn sized ones though because they don't stay in them for long, my three kids never even fit into then at all.

I wouldn't buy the newborn diapers. Because sometimes babies don't even fit them. LOL. But if your baby does fit them, the hospital has them (assuming that is where you are delivering) and you can just ask for more diapers while you're there.

I've gotten different advice from different moms. I plan on waiting after my baby shower since I'm doing a diaper raffle and for my baby to get here. I'm guessing we're gonna get a bunch of different varieties from the raffle so we'll just stock up on the one that ends up working the best/our baby seem to like. Seems like each baby have different preferences!

I'd recommend getting 2 boxes of each size: newborn, 1, 2 etc. 
We bought the Costco bulk box of wipes and it's lasted forever! LOL
