Baby clothes! which size to buy? :/

M going to buy clothes for the baby.we dont know the sex yet,as we keeping it a surprise. But i dont know what size to buy for first few months?! Help me out girls :(

Don't buy a ton of newborn they grow out of it so fast. My son is 5 weeks and he's already in 3 month clothes.

I've heard that it's not worth buying many if any specifically newborn sized ones because they outgrow them so quickly. I would buy a couple of handfuls of 0-3, and a bunch of 3-6 and then ask people to buy you a ton of 6-9 bc I thinks that size that they stay at for the longest and usually parents don't have any of that size on hand Bc they've purchased or asked others to purchase for them too many 0-6.

Everyone told me to avoid newborn sizes with my first so we had only one newborn outfit. She was 6 lbs 12 oz and ended up swimming in 0-3 month clothes. We went to the store in her first week to buy her clothes that fit!  She was in them for 2 months. This time we have a dozen newborn outfits (mostly onesies and pjs).

They are also in 6-12 month clothes will last the longest, but you may want wait until you know the sex of your baby before investing in those.

I bought about 15 newborn onesies/outfits and on my registry asked for all 0-3 or 3-6 month clothing. Babies go through a lot of clothes with blowouts and spit ups so I'm hoping to stock up on 0-3 and also I'm shopping the winter sales for his clothes for this winter because outerwear is all on sale right now!

Ive bought most things size 0-3. Id rather they were a little big on her than too small. Check the labels on newborns, one shop said up to 7lbs, the other shop said up to 9lbs. My mom is buying 3-6 months so i have at least 6 months worth :)
