To make you laugh...my life...

My hubby just started a new job, and we rarely see each other. Add being 35 weeks pregnant to the mix, and you have a recipe for hormonal disaster. After sobbing one night over nothing, he said, "I think we need a date night. I'm going to take you somewhere nice. What food are you craving?" That day I had happened to watch a cooking show with Italian food, so the obvious choice was Italian.
Well, since being pregnant, I haven't put a lot of effort into my appearance, so I was excited to get fancy for our date. I spent more than the normal five minutes on makeup, did my hair, and had a pretty outfit. Hubby even dressed up (that is as rare as seeing a unicorn).
It was time to leave for the date. He opened my car door, and we backed out of the driveway. Then, 500 feet from our house, it happened.
I sneezed. And even though I went to the bathroom right before we left, apparently in the time it took to get in the car and drive 500 feet, my body produced a decent amount of urine.
The relief of the sneeze was followed by a wave of guilt. "Oh no..." I mourners to myself. Sweet hubby knew something was up. "What's wrong, lover?" he asked sweetly.
"Turn this car around! Emergency!" Tears threatened to spill down my face.
Then he gave me The Look. He knew what had happened, because it's happened before, but at least in the privacy of our house. "How bad?" he asked carefully as he turned the car around.
"Bad!" I managed to choke out. Yes, the embarrassed sobs were full-fledged by this point.
And so our romantic date night began with me peeing myself and changing outfits and ended with us being late to our reservation and my husband mentioning my need to buy pads at least three times.
The end 😊
