Iud for endo?

I was wondering if anyone had used an iud to help with endo. My obgyn has suggested it to ease bleeding. I'd love to hear any experiences.

I already had an iud and had to get it surgically removed... i will never go back to having the mirena... once I become pregnant with #3 it's either tubes tied or having to take birth control pills.

With endo everyone's body is different. I had an IUD for about 6 months and had to get it taken out. It made my endo at least 3 times worse and in the course of the 6 months I had it in all together I had about 17 ovarian cysts. My bleeding did not stop at all. Actually got heavier and I had to go to the hospital on numerous occasions for blood loss. I do not recommend and IUD if you have endo. Especially because if your endo gets worse and causes you problems that IUD will not help the situation. I'd honestly stick to birth control pills as contraceptive. Just stay clear of Yaz and it's generics.
