First time mom- crib or side sleeper?

I have done a lot of researcher and it seems like a crib is the best for SIDS, but the Halo side sleeper has great reviews for the first couple of months. I'm not sure if I will want to sleep without the baby near by. Thoughts?

I would do a bassinet or co-sleeper for the first couple months and then transition to the crib. That's what we'll be doing!

With my next baby I'm getting a side sleeper because it is good for them to sleep near you. It can actually help prevent SIDS because it regulates their breathing

I was going to use a crib as my co-sleeper by leaving a side off and securing it to my bed. That way I wouldn't have to purchase a co-sleeper and a crib. One of my family members happend to have a co-sleeper and gave it to me so I still only have to buy a crib.

Get a Moses basket and keep it next to your bed. Very good for reducingn SIDS risk and no dangers of them being in your bed and getting hurt

I'm going to use a Arms reach co sleeper for the first few months so I don't have to get outta bed every couple hours to feed and I'll be able to check on baby easily all night. I'd be too paranoid to sleep if baby wasn't next to me. But after that a crib in baby's own room if we have moved by then. 4-in-1 so we do do not have to buy another bed for baby ever.

We co-slept with the first and will with this one as well. Having baby close by for feeding and to make sure they're safe saved us tons of sleep with the first one.
