How can i get my curls back!?

So I was born with curly hair. Way curly. Two years ago when I got my hair dye my curls went away. Its more like wavy now. I dye my hair again but I want my curls to come back :( what can I do or put to bring them back?

Each time I put a new weave or braids I cut off an inch or so of hair so I can see my results better

I used to straighten my hair as my pic shows but my hair is curly. To get them back I cut the damaged hair and began doing protein treatments and eating extremely healthy and exercising with the treatments for natural purification of my scalp.
