No baby shower

I'm pregnant with my 2nd boy with 3months to go. So I'm getting close. My family and friends and a few of my husbands family has been asking me about a shower or a registry. In the south where I'm from we have a shower for every baby. We aren't fortunate enough to give big gifts so most gifts are already very worn or usually just clothing and small things (which I'm greatful for). Where my husbands family is from (NY area) they ony have one baby shower and usually registered gifts are given. Due to only being 19 when I had my son I knew no other way than what my family celebrated and I didn't register very smartly. If I knew I was getting one baby shower maybe I would've chosen a sturdy more expensive gender neutral car seat , swing, stroller. But the things I received in the beginning are very worn, broken, or very stained. So many things were rid of. I still need some things for this new baby. So since I've been asked from both sides about registry and what the baby needs I went ahead and made a registry only registering things I know husband and I wouldn't be able to quite get on our own. I was thinking of sending a link to friends and family and stating that a baby shower
