Flip cloth diapers?

Has anyone used the Flip Diapers? They have great reviews but I'm not sure, there are so many choices! Also, how many diapers and inserts should you have? I feel a little lost lol

I haven't tried them yet, but was planning on using them for travel with the disposable liners. I think I'm going to use Rumparooz. Many online retailers, like Kelly's Closet or Diaper Junction, give you a 30 day free trial to test out the diapers first.

I love my bumgenius 4.0s. Flip is made by the same company and is similar in concept, so I'm inclined to think they are probably pretty good quality.

As for how many, it all depends on how much laundry you want to do. We have somewhere between 50-60 in our stash and we have to wash 2-3 times a week. I would recommend washing a least once a week minimum. If you don't mind doing laundry more often, then you could get away with a smaller stash.

For shell style diapers, you can usually use 1-2 shells per day and only switch out the liners with every change. Good rule of thumb is 12 diapers a day for a newborn.

Love my flips! I usually have 4 inserts to one cover. That's how long they last with my little explosive pooper. I love that you can really use any insert even the disposable ones if your out and about. I feel like they are a good choise for a cover. I DONT like rumparoos they are an aweful cover they don't fit baby at all! It's like they made them for a cat.

We've got a couple Flip diapers.  I like that you can use almost any insert (even the old prefold Gerbers!) so you could end up with a more economical stash.  We've got the Bum Genius 4.0 as well.  Unfortunately the baby doesn't show up until next week (hypothetically) so we don't know for sure how they'll work out.  At the very least, if you use them you'll have some partners in that decision for better or worse :)

Love my flip diapers. Covers will not last through 2 birth to potty training babies but inserts will and new covers aren't expensive.

These are what I'm going to use, some tons of research and they make the most sense for us...no real review though since we didn't use these on our first kiddo

We used bumgenius freetime one-size all-in-ones with our first child. Bought 24 and that seemed to be about right. Had to do laundry pretty much 1-2 days at first, but now that she is almost 2yrs we only have to wash them about 1-2 times a week (although she's now in full time daycare and must use disposables while she's there, so that cuts down on our laundry too).

No complaints about these, especially since there's no stuffing of inserts. Highly recommend getting flushable liners to catch the solids.
