Breastmilk storage freezer bags vs cups

I have the Medela Freestyle and want to know what works better for storing breastmilk, the Medela freezer bags or the Medela breastmilk storage cups?
Also, does anyone know of any other brands that works with the Freestyle (like lansinoh or so) thats more affordable and works just as well?
