Home remedies to kick start labor

My induction date is nearing and I want so badly for my baby to come in her own. Anyone try any of these at home/natural remedies or heard of any that have worked for other?

Not myself but my friend was due within a few days and her husband got back from deployment and of course they were intimate and she woke up around 5 the next morning bc her water broke.

How far along are you? If they are inducing you before your due date, and there is no health concern for mom or baby, I would suggest not consenting to an induction before 42 weeks, and just monitoring baby and letting your body do its thing. In the meantolime, lots of walking, curb walking, bouncing on a yoga/birthing ball. Evening primrose oil and RRLT do NOT induce labor. The tea just tones the uterus so contractions are more effective when they do start, and EPO helps to soften the cervix so that dilating happens more effectively when labor starts. Nothing will work if your body isn't ready, though.

I'd say all. I'm 37 weeks and have been doing all three of those, the tea since 34 weeks but just starting drinking it 3 times a day last week, and I've been having sex pretty much every day for the past two weeks, obviously haven't went into labor yet but I do notice an increase in Braxton Hicks, my cervix is a little soft (according to dr) and I lost my mucus plug so something must be working! I have an appointment Monday so I will update after that, I'm expecting some progress!

I really think your body just has to be ready on its own... My friend is currently a week late and no change in sight and she has tried literally everything

I walked, did jumping jacks, had sex, used primrose oil, drank raspberry tea... Pretty much everything. I don't think the tea or oil helped. The sex not that much because my cervix stayed at 4 cm. I started all of this stuff at 36 weeks and had him at 39 weeks exactly. My water broke but I had to have an emergency c section.

Have sex. Your man's sperm contains prostoglandins. Prostoglandins are responsible for getting labor going!!

Getting your membranes striped might help. That's what started mine. I went walking for 30mins, went to my appointment where the doctor checked me (100% & 3cm) and she stripped my membranes and seconds later my mucus plug came out, went home and had sex, then hours later my water broke and 9 hours later I had my baby.
