Advice?? Should I keep my overnight CNA job while pregnant?

Lily
I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I work as a live in CNA for an elderly couple. They are completely dependent on me from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. My son stays with his grandma from Friday to sunday because I'm not home the entire time (he's 3). I'm having thoughts about getting a new job 5 days a week and being off on the weekends, but I feel like the people I take care of would be upset if I leave. I would also have to find full time day care for my son because when I'm not here I'm home with him. On one hand, I feel like it would give us stability because I would be home everyday and have weekends off to spend with my family. On the other hand I would have to put him in daycare (which makes me nervous) and I would feel guilty about leaving this couple. Please leave comments as well I desperately need opinions!! Thank you guys (:

Keep it while your pregnant but look for other jobs, this doesn't seem to be giving you much family time

I work as a CNA in a nursing home, and let me tell you... Even though I have the regular 1st shift hours, it is SOOO much harder than any of the home health care I ever did. It's so much walking, squatting, lifting, etc. I'm 34 weeks, and am getting to the point that I dread going to work. I know I'll have no energy, and be swollen and hurting by the time I get off.

Work until you're comfortable but no heavy lifting.

I worked in that type of field up until I was 8 months.
